Why False Accusations Undermine Real Diplomacy
I recently came across a headline claiming that Cambodia is avoiding peace talks. Honestly—that’s completely misleading.
Let’s get the facts straight:
Who reached out to the ICJ?
Who contacted the UN?
Who has been actively requesting peaceful negotiations for months?
The answer is: Cambodia.
Meanwhile, Thailand has either delayed or ignored those calls for dialogue. For Thai media and officials to now accuse Cambodia of avoiding peace talks is not only hypocritical, it’s insulting to the truth.
To my Thai viewers: I mean no offense, but facts matter. Cambodia has been advocating peace and diplomacy from the very start. These false claims do nothing but damage the chance for real resolution.
Right now, I’m speaking to you from Singapore, where I relocated for safety reasons after being too close to the border during recent clashes. That experience opened my eyes even more to how twisted this narrative has become.
What’s happening is cruel, unjust, and being allowed to continue by a global community that seems to be watching silently.
As a Canadian, and as a citizen of the world, I feel ashamed.
This must stop. The truth must be heard.
